Comedian Munawar Faruqui Is All Set To Go To Jail But This Time For Kangana Ranaut’s Reality Show ‘Lock Upp’

Yep, I’m sure you know by now that Ekta Kapoor has teamed up with Kangana Ranaut for a new reality show called Lock Upp. By the looks of it and from what I’ve heard it seems as though the narrative of the show will be similar to that of Bigg Boss. Wondering which of your favourite celebrities will be locked in? Well, so far we knew only about Nisha Rawal joining the show. But now I bring to you the second contestant of Lock Upp – Munawar Faruqui. Yep, the fierce stand-up comedian is all set to be jailed for 27 days with 15 other contestants.
Munawar Faruqui along with the makers of Lock Upp released a promo video on social media that revealed the comedian as the second contestant of the reality show. Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp is a reality show that has everything to do with how the contestants survive their jail time.

For those who are unfamiliar with the stand-up comedian, Munawar Faruqui was arrested by Indore police in 2021 in a case for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of people during a show. He stayed in jail for a month before he was released.
I know a lot of people are excited to watch the show. I mean, after all the ‘Queen of Controversy’ and ‘Queen of Television Drama’ are coming together for it. In fact, I won’t be surprised if it becomes the most watched reality show after Bigg Boss (or even surpasses it).
The show is set to stream from February 27th on OTT platforms like Alt Balaji and MX Player.
