Comedian Madhur Virli’s Horrific R*pe Joke Catches Internet’s Attention. This Crass Mentality Needs To Go!

Even before we could recover from the controversy involving Pranit More, Rs 370 Biryani guy, aka Himanshu Jangra and Dr. Sejal Pawar, another clip of comedian Madhur Virli surfaced. The problem? He made a lewd r*pe joke and didn’t hesitate to speak in front of the crowd. Now, many people are calling him out and deservingly so! If you missed what he stated, read on and learn more about the matter.

What Did Madhur Virli Joke About?

In one of his stand-up shows, Madhur Virli “joked” about rape cases. He stated that out of 10 rape cases, nine only involve r*pe, whereas one includes murder as well. He stated that in such a case, the victim might ask the r*pist about “cuddling”, which would seemingly prompt him to murder her. After this joke, even the audience could be heard laughing at it. After his clips went viral and people started calling him out, he seemingly deactivated his Instagram. As of now, he has not reacted to the same. Check out the clip below!

We’re horrified!

If the controversy, including Madhur Virli or Pranit More, is called comedy, then society is truly doomed. Do people even realise what the survivors of assault/ r*pe go through? Is crime against women a joke to people? The assault trauma NEVER leaves the survivors’ memory. To openly joke about such things is shameful and this should be considered a crime. This just reflects how some men don’t even understand the gravity of making r*pe jokes. Some joke about assault while others think that paying for food during a date gives them the right to sleep with the woman. This mentality is a threat to society. Additionally, it also reflects how casually joking about such things has become a new normal for some people. The hope for a safe future for women seems bleak!
