Cocktail 2 makers recently clarified the rumors about Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's characters being a couple in Cocktail 2.
Many people are looking forward to watching what Cocktail 2 brings onscreen. Since the film includes huge stars including Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon, the excitement is through the roof. However, amid the hype, rumours surrounding Rashmika and Kriti’s characters playing a lesbian couple took over the internet. Since there was no clarity on the same, the makers of the film finally addressed it during the trailer launch!
Kriti Sanon And Rashmika Mandanna Are Not Playing Lesbian Couple
During the trailer launch event of Cocktail 2, Rashmika Mandanna was reportedly asked about the said rumours. Kriti Sanon suggested that the speculation seemingly came from a single source, to which the Animal star agreed. Then Shahid Kapoor quipped that he didn’t say anything and that he had nothing to do with this rumour. The film’s director, Homi Adajania, clarified that the rumor originated when they were all sitting on the set, adding, “They definitely get a little cuddly with each other because they are friends.” Then they hypothetically thought, what if the story was about them and Shahid Kapoor was the third wheel? Further Homi expressed that he wouldn’t mind making a movie like that. Adding to this, Dinesh Vijan reportedly clarified that there are two love stories, saying, “Purana love and naya love and ye Luv (Ranjan). Aur kuchh nahi hai kisi ka love nahi hai is picture mein.”

As per the reports, talking about her and Rashmika Mandanna’s friendship, Kriti Sanon revealed that they first met when they worked out together in the same studio, adding that she worked out like a beast. Rashmika mentioned that they bonded easily and that it was effortless. Listening to this, Shahid Kapoor quipped that that was the reason why people thought it was a lesbian love story. Kriti then stated that it was sad because when men do it, it’s labeled as bromance; however, people don’t want to believe that two women can be friends. Saying that either speculate rivalry or something else between the two.
