The Homebound cinematographer, Pratik Shah, also faced serious assault allegations, and now, a year later, he has issued a public apology. Pratik Shah Issues Apology

Cinematographer Pratik Shah has addressed the allegations against him that surfaced last year. In his official statement to The Hollywood Reporter India, Pratik Shah said that he was deeply saddened by the mistakes he made, both in his professional and personal lives, and the people he hurt. The DOP acknowledged that he had let his position and power take control of his judgements that led to him becoming a self-centred man who did things out of insecurity and a need for validation.

In his official statement, Pratik Shah took full responsibility for his actions and the shame that he had caused to his family, friends and colleagues. He also revealed about taking regular therapy and that he has been sober for over a year. Pratik Shah apologised for his actions and hopes to move on by taking accountability and mending things with his actions.

Who Is Pratik Shah?

Pratik Shah is a cinematographer who has worked in films like Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, which was also India’s selection for the Oscars. He was also on board for projects like CTRL, Jubilee, Akka and more. After the harassment allegations, Neeraj Ghaywan had removed his name from the list while celebrating the film’s success, and Yash Raj Films too had removed his name from the credits of Akka.
