6 Holiday Movies To Make This Christmas Special

1. A Not So Merry Christmas – Netflix

This exciting movie was directed by Mark Alazraki and features Mauricio Ochmann and Ana Brenda Contreras in lead roles. The movie is about a curse that has been placed on a grinchy man stuck in a time loop with Christmas. The movie tries mixing rom-com and family drama ingredients with fantasy fiction to set up Yuletide vibes. It’s another time-loop adventure, where our protagonist falls into a trap of recurrent chain of events, living out the same day or experience over and over again. The story moves ahead blending reality and dream. This interesting premise makes it an interesting watch.

2. I Believe In Santa – Netflix

This film is a holiday romantic drama directed by Alex Ranarivelo and features John Ducey, Christina Moore and Violet McGraw. The rom-com is centred around a woman named Lisa. She thinks that she’s finally met the man of her dreams but later gets to know that Tom, whom she has been dating for 5 months loves her least favourite holiday. On top of that, she finds out he, an adult man, still believes in Santa Claus. This movie seems to be a contemporary interpretation of The Christmas Carol wherein a lady who despises the Christmas season is in a relationship with a cheery and optimistic guy who seems to be fascinated with it. It provides the audience with a strong feel-good component. It is a pleasant, lighthearted, yet enlightening Christmas movie which will leave you smiling.

3. Delivery By Christmas – Netflix

Directed by Terry Ingram, it stars Alvina August, Eion Bailey, Kesler Talbot, Nadeen Lightbody and Julie Lynn Mortensen. This cute Polish rom-com begins with sabotage, where a spiteful coworker sabotages the delivery of Christmas presents’ couriers. But a Christmas miracle, a helpful customer, save the day by delivering all the couriers. The movie provides us with some Christmas spirit. This movie is a typical holiday movie but filled with a lot of sweet moments and seductive humour.

4. Falling for Christmas – Netflix

The Director of the movie is Janeen Damian. It stars Leah Renee, Niall Matter and Lisa Whelchel among others others. Lindsay Lohan plays a spoiled heiress to her dad’s Aspen resort business, and she gets amnesia. Later she falls for a local lodge keeper. It’s a prime example of not watching a holiday movie for the plot, but for the spectacle of it all. This is the movie for you if you’re looking to spend an hour and a half being warmed by Christmas cheer and an inevitable happy ending.

5. Spirited – Apple TV+

This movie was directed by Sean Anders. The leading cast of the movie is Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Sunita Mani, and Patrick Page. What makes this movie a little extra special is that it’s a musical. A Christmas Carol is quite possibly a Christmas classic that will never age and only become more adored as the years go by. But Spirited isn’t just another remake, it has done a lot of interesting and new things with the classic idea that has totally paid off. The story is both whimsical and fresh. A worthy watch.

6. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special – Disney+ Hotstar

Directed by James Gunn, it stars Luke Klein, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff and others. When Star-Lord misses Christmas, Drax and Mantis set out to find him an unforgettable Christmas present. Their plan may also involve kidnapping Kevin Bacon. This movie will make you laugh, feel emotional, happy, sad and much more. Adding Kevin Bacon in the mix is a masterstroke. He is playing Kevin Bacon and roasting actors and at the same time appreciating many other things that make this special a real gift from Marvel for Christmas. It manages to warm our hearts and force us to laugh at the same time. A must-watch for all Marvel fans.

7. Christmas With You – Netflix

This incredible Christmas movie is directed by Gabriela Tagliavini and features Freddie Prinze Jr, Aimee Garcia, Deja Monique Cruz, Zenzi Williams and Gabriel Sloyer. It follows the story of a beloved pop singer who decides to visit a fan to escape her fears. It is a very interesting movie and it’s a genuinely adorable watch which we would recommend.
