Chahatt Khanna Reveals Ex-Husband Brainwashed Her
In a recent conversation with Telly Talk India, Bade Acche Lagte Hai fame Chahatt Khann shared about growing up in a religiously inclined and spiritual household only to convert after marrying Farhan Mirza, the son of screenwriter Shahrukh Mirza. The actor added that she was confused during her marriage and divorce, but was thankful for returning to her roots. When asked if she was brainwashed into converting her religion, Chahatt Khanna replied, “Yes, in a way, yeah, I would say that. But I don’t know for their good or my good, but that is why I said, thankfully, I am back home.”
Khanna revealed that many people cautioned her not to change her religion and even faced many restrictions after doing so. She said that she converted because she wanted to have a Nikaah. She added that after conversion she was asked not to worship her god because that wasn’t the right way according to them and that she followed everything like a lost child. She further said that even though it wasn’t that bad, she was in a happier place with much more wisdom.
