If you are not living under a rock, then you are aware of the well-known educationist Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. He has entered the 18th day of the protest and has refused to eat. For the unversed, Sonam Wangchuk’s protest, along with CJP, is in support of the young lives lost in the NEET paper leak and demands the resignation of the Education Minister. Actor Soni Razdan put out a message for Sonam Wangchuk amid his indefinite hunger strike. In a social media post, Soni Razdan wrote that she was praying for Sonam Wangchuk’s health and requested that he eat something and live another day to fight. She wrote, “We need you, don’t leave us.”
Zeenat Aman
The veteran star Zeenat Aman also penned a note on social media to express her concerns regarding the ongoing hunger strike. She also acknowledged Sonam Wangchuk’s deteriorating health, which has made headlines, but he has refused to eat. Zeenat Aman further spoke about the achievements credited to Sonam Wangchuk, the founder of SECMOL, inventor of the Ice Stupa and the man who inspired the story of 3 Idiots. She further requested the Indian Government to hear the concerns of Mr Wangchuk on matters that are of utmost importance for India’s future.
Omi Vaidya
The actor who played Chatur in 3 Idiots has also opined on the matter. In the video, the actor educated everyone about Sonam Wangchuk’s professional life. He hailed his exceptional journey and urged everyone to know more about it. He spoke about his health and his fight against the problems in the education system. He requested everyone to come out in support of him. He said, “I don’t want him to die.”
