After a successful run in the theatres, the popular Aditya Dhar film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is also set for its Television premiere. The Ranveer Singh film is reportedly going to release in October, but reports suggest that the Central Board of Film Certification has recommended several cuts in the film before the premiere. The makers have also abided by the suggestions and accordingly made changes. Read here for more.
CBFC Suggests Cuts In Dhurandhar: The Revenge
The Ranveer Singh film is set to release on October 18 at 7:00 pm. The excitement and buzz around the film are still intact. But the film had to go through a CBFC check ahead of the TV premiere. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the film has been given 45-50 cuts in the film, and most of these cuts are gore or too-violent scenes. The film is also being made suitable for a younger audience. The makers have also made the changes, but without affecting the impact of the film. The report further suggests that the CBFC has passed the film with a U/A 16+ TV version, and this version of the film is 3 hours, 39 minutes and 6 seconds long. This is 10 minutes shorter than the theatrical release, which was 3 hours, 49 minutes and 6 seconds long.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released in theatres in March 2026. It was a sequel to Dhurandhar, which came out in December 2025. The two-part film by Aditya Dhar received much praise for its performances, storytelling and background score. The franchise also featured actors like Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. It did a record-breaking business at the box office.
