BTS V Wears Lungi-Inspired Trousers At Soundcheck, Desi Fans Have A Lot To Say!

K-pop has a huge fan following in India, and the craze keeps growing every day. Desi fans get excited over even the smallest things their favourite idols do, whether it is saying namaste or mentioning India. Now, BTS V has caught everyone’s attention for a rather unexpected reason. The ‘Slow Dancing’ singer was spotted wearing Lungi trousers during a concert soundcheck. While some fans found it exciting, others questioned the brand behind the outfit. Read on!

BTS V wore the trousers during the first-day soundcheck of the group’s ARIRANG World Tour in Santiago, Chile. The outfit quickly became a talking point because of its resemblance to a lungi, a traditional garment worn in India. The trousers are actually called the Julius Black Lungi Trousers and come from the Japanese designer brand Julius.

Soon, some fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, began connecting the look to their hopes of a BTS concert in India. On the other hand, a few wondered if this could be a sign of the group visiting the country in the future. However, there is no confirmation that BTS will perform in India. The connection between the outfit and a possible concert is purely fan speculation.

While some fans enjoyed the unexpected Indian connection, others were not happy with the brand. They questioned whether the trousers were borrowed from traditional Indian clothing without giving proper credit for their cultural origins.

The discussion has once again brought attention to how global fashion brands take inspiration from different cultures and whether they acknowledge those influences.
