Popular boy band BTS are busy with their massive Arirang World Tour, and clips and photos of it have been going viral every now and then. After concerts, some members often go live to share daily moments and funny stories from backstage. Right after their recent Baltimore show, V and Jungkook went live on Wevere. During the livestream, the Slow Dancing singer spoke about his hearing loss and left many ARMYs shocked and concerned. Read on to know more about it.
During the live, V shared something he had kept private from fans for a long time. He explained that his hearing had been getting worse for about two and a half years. He had never spoken about it before. Jungkook then asked if the recent hospital visit had helped and if the problem had improved or returned. V replied that one side of his hearing was still at full strength, while the other side was only around thirty percent.
He added that he takes his medicine every day without fail. The issue became much worse after his time in the military. People around him at that time focused heavily on exercise and told him the problem was only in his mind. Because of these comments, he started to believe it was a mental health matter instead of a real hearing problem.
đŻ: Iâve never told ARMYs this before, but itâs been about two and a half years, I think. My hearing started getting worse
đ°: But you went to the hospital recently and had it treated, right? Did it get better, or does it go back to how it was?
đŻ: Yeah. Maybe after a month?âŠâ TG (@taeguide) August 12, 2026
V told fans he now visits the hospital on a regular basis to manage the condition. Even so, many fans felt stunned by the news. Some raised worries about how he continues to perform in large stadiums filled with very loud music and cheers. They wondered if the noise could make things harder for him.
Still, fans sent kind messages and hoped he would get better soon. They showed strong support and asked him to take good care of himself while the group keeps up its busy schedule.
