BTS RM Facing Backlash For Asking For Privacy Is Absurd. Can We Please Let Them Live?
Instead of understanding BTS RM's concern, some people chose to criticise him.
BTS is one of the biggest music groups in the world, but their massive popularity comes with a cost: their privacy. Recently, a huge crowd gathered outside the group’s hotel in Peru, reportedly making noise and pointing lasers at their rooms. RM addressed the disturbance on Weverse and asked people to respect their space, but the situation continued. Read on to know more about it.
Imagine not being able to relax in your own hotel room because people outside are making noise and pointing lasers at your windows. And when you finally ask them to stop, you get hate for it. How does that even make sense?
RM was simply asking people to respect his privacy. Instead of understanding his concern, some people chose to criticise him. Being famous does not mean someone has to put up with this kind of behaviour. Everyone deserves some peace and personal space, including celebrities.
Well, RM is not the only BTS member who has spoken about people crossing their boundaries. V and Jungkook have also called out such behaviour. Yet, some fans still act as if supporting an idol gives them the right to interfere in their lives. But it doesn’t.
Being a fan does not mean having a say in everything an idol does. It certainly does not mean following them around, invading their privacy or attacking them when they speak up. They are not people who have to live according to their fans’ expectations. They are human beings who deserve to have a life outside their careers.

If fans truly care about BTS, they need to understand that respecting their boundaries is also a part of supporting them. Their love for the group should not come at the cost of the members’ peace.
So, remember! They are artists, but they are people first. And they deserve the same privacy and respect as everyone else.
