When the tracklist for BTS’s album Arirang dropped, fans were excited to see the members’ involvement in the creative process. However, many quickly noticed Jin’s name was missing. In July 2025, six BTS members went to Los Angeles for a song camp. They stayed there and worked really hard with producers and songwriters. In total, they made more than a hundred tracks for the new album. Everyone was busy creating music together.
Jin could not join them from the beginning. He was in the middle of his solo tour, which ran from June to October 2025. When he finally reached LA, most of the songs were already made. He also had to leave earlier than the others because he still had to finish the concert. This gave him very little time to add his ideas.
Later, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Jin openly shared how he felt. He admitted he was a little bummed about not being more involved in making the album. But he also understood why things happened this way. During the group’s military break, he had focused on solo work to keep fans entertained and satisfied. He did not want to hold up the album and make everyone wait too long.
His words quickly went viral online. Many fans felt sad for him and started asking questions. They wondered why the writing camp was scheduled right in the middle of Jin’s solo tour. Some fans believed the company could have waited a bit longer so the ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ singer could take part fully. They said real fans would have patiently waited instead of rushing things.

Even with limited involvement, Jin still gave his beautiful voice to the album. His sweet nature and love for fans continue to touch many hearts. This moment has once again shown how much Jin cares about ARMY and the group.
