Brad Pitt Accuses Angelina Jolie Of Purposely Harming Him By Selling Her Stake Of Their French Winery

Hollywood’s former couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are embroiled in a legal battle with regard to the winery they jointly owned. Pitt had sued Jolie for ‘unlawfully’ selling her stake in the French winery which they brought together in 2008. In now what comes as a new development in this legal case, Brad Pitt has accused Angelina Jolie that she purposely wanted to harm him by selling her share in this business which is very close to his heart.

A Turn In Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie’s Legal Case

As per a report by People, the Ocean’s 11 actor has said that he and Jolie had agreed to not sell their respective stakes without each other’s permission. And now he has claimed that she tried to purposely harm him by selling her stake. In the papers that were filed by Brad’s legal team at Los Angeles County Superior Court, it is mentioned that the French winery called Château Miraval, had become Pitt’s ‘passion’ which went on to become ‘a multimillion-dollar global business’.

Brad Pitt’s lawyers also further mention that Angelina Jolie wanted to sell her stake to Tenute del Mondo, another wine group, that is seeking to take over Miraval. It is also reported that yet Angelina went ahead with the deal and Brad was not aware of it. This has led to the violation of Brad Pitt’s ‘contractual rights’.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016 citing ‘irreconcilable differences’. She also requested sole physical custody of their six children. But she had asked the judge to grant Brad visitation rights. A source close to the couple has reportedly said that they disagreed on a lot of matters and fought as well.
