On Friday, September 4, Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera took to their Instagram and shared a joint post announcing the name of their son. They wrote that they wanted to reveal the name of their son on the occasion of Janmashtami and revealed the name of their boy. For the unversed, the two welcomed their first child on July 29, 2026, on Guru Purnima. While announcing this news, they had kept the name of their newborn private. This came just one month after his birth.
The name Ved originates from the Sanskrit word ‘Veda ‘, which comes from the ancient sacred scriptures of India. Karishma Tanna and Varun explained that the name meant “sacred knowledge, wisdom, and light.” The two got married in Mumbai on February 5, 2022, in an intimate ceremony with their close friends and family members. Four years after getting married, the couple welcomed their first child, Ved. Karishma has worked in Indian television for two decades. She debuted with the iconic show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2001. She then went on to work across many more TV shows, films, and OTT projects.
