Unsurprisingly, #BoycottBrahmastra Trend Has Begun. Unsurprisingly, None Of The Reasons Make Any Sense

I will not be wrong when I say that Brahmastra is one of the highly-anticipated Bollywood films. The three-part series is a fantasy adventure franchise. The franchise’s own universe has also been created by the name Astraverse. And now Brahmastra has been making a lot of noise on social media and not for good reasons. The trailer of this film was dropped on June 15, 2022, and #BoycottBrahmastra has already begun trending on Twitter. Twitter users have gone on to the micro-blogging platform to share stills from the trailer and share their opinions on why they would boycott the films.

#BoycottBrahmastra Trends On Twitter

It appears people have gone on to just vent out their rage against the makers of the film because some of the reasons why they want to boycott Brahmastra just do not make sense. Many have gone on remember the last Sushant Singh Rajput and have gone on to say that Bollywood did not support him when he needed it the most and hence, they are going to boycott the movie. One of the wrote, “I will never forget how Alia Bhatt insulted Sushant Singh Rajput on Karan Johar show. Boycott Dharma Productions. CBI Do Justice To Sushant” while another wrote, “Let us pledge to bring a change in our society and make a drug free nation. Do not spend your hard earned money to Druggiewood.”

Many have shared a still from the trailer where Ranbir Kapoor is seen entering the temple with his shoes on and have called out the makers for hurting Hindu sentiments. One of them wrote, “Entering Temple with shoes. never accepted by the Bollywood”, while another wrote, “Why Always Hindus r targeted? Will they dare to challenge the customs & rituals of other faith?”
