Here’s What We Think

It’s so sad when we hear such confessions. We feel that crying is as important as expressing any other emotion. It’s so sad that patriarchy wants men to express emotional distress in the form of anger and frustration rather than tears. They have conditioned men since childhood that expressing their emotions is equal to them being weak. This not only affects them but also their family, friends, and especially their partners. It’s so funny that when women cry or are vulnerable, they are labelled as “emotional” or “overdramatic”. We hope that people, especially men, realise that crying is absolutely okay! In fact, according to Healthline, crying might help with self-soothing. Additionally, research also found that crying activates the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which helps your body rest and digest.

It’s time that we create spaces for people to cry, laugh, and be vulnerable without any judgement!
