What makes it worse is that it came from one woman to another. The remark reflects that being a woman automatically comes with the responsibility of knowing how to cook and especially make “chai.” We would like to highlight that there is nothing wrong with doing these chores, and if anything, everyone should know how to do them as they are basic life skills. The problem is, why are such remarks always thrown at women and not men? Why are men exempted from doing household chores?
