K-pop idol Som Hevin will marry her younger partner in February 2026, according to her Instagram post. She is one of the only Korean singers who is out and proud about it. Now, Som has found love and companionship with Kim Ye Hoon, who is two years younger than her. She added several romantic pictures with her fiancé on Instagram while announcing her wedding plans.

She Is An Openly Bis*xual Idol

While she gained prominence first after her stint on Idol School in 2017, Som Hevin became the talk of the town when she came out as bis*xual in August 2019. While dating a woman at the time, she announced her relationship alongside pictures with her girlfriend. Facing both support and criticism. She carried on, believing that other people had no business in her love life.

Although she had a bullying scandal before coming out, revealing her s*xual identity gave her a lot of positivity, especially from foreign fans. Some still hesitated to support her, but Som Hevin’s songs gained popularity among niche listeners.

Son Hevin’s Marriage To Male Singer Kim Ye Hoon

In her Instagram post with Kim Ye Hoon, Som Hevin said that they share similar faiths, and Kim is a warm-hearted person. Despite being sudden, Hevin hoped that those who supported her in the past would continue to do so in her new life “with romance”. Photographs accompanying the statement feature the couple on the beach, in dim lighting with lit firecrackers. Som is wearing a white wedding dress with a veil, while Kim is dressed in a white shirt with black trousers and a tie.

Som Hevin’s announcement has sparked conversation on gender, s*xuality, and identity once more. People have argued in favour of the singer. A bi person could choose to spend their life in a seemingly straight relationship and still be valid. We hope a person’s s*xuality isn’t used as ammunition to bully them, especially when they have made the brave decision to come out.
