Bhumi Pednekar On Assam Floods
The Daldal star took to her social media handle to get our attention on the recent Assam floods, which have taken multiple lives. Two days back, Bhumi Pednekar shared a video to talk about the Assam floods and how 7.5 lakh people had already been evacuated from the villages. She also talked about the urgent need to support the relief funds and organisations helping the people on the ground. Bhumi Pednekar requested the people of India to come forward and help according to their capacity, just like the collective efforts that were made during the Punjab, Bihar or Jammu floods.
She recently posted another video in which the actor spoke about the gut-wrenching visuals that were coming from Assam. Bhumi Pednekar said, “There is a part of our country that desperately needs us. We are all Indian citizens, and we should come forward and help them. Community service is our biggest strength.” Bhumi Pednekar reminded the citizens that they could help the people of Assam physically or monetarily. She further spoke about the relief funds that were the urgent need of the hour.
The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswas acknowledged Bhumi Pednekar’s constant efforts to highlight the severe conditions in Assam amid the floods, and he thanked the actor for the same. He also wrote, ” Your support means a great deal to every affected family.”
