‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ Trailer: Kartik Aaryan Starrer Film Has Horror But Comedy Is Missing. Can’t Help It, The OG Set High Standards!

Much before horror-comedy drama became a big genre in India, Bollywood gave us the gift of a psychological horror-comedy that remains a legend till date. Akshay Kumar starrer Priyadarshan’s 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa not only made us laugh till our stomachs hurt but it also won hearts with the perfectly timed punchlines. And it’s not like we can forget Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav’s comic timing in the film. Having said that, the makers of the film have now decided to make a standalone sequel of the film starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, Kiara Advani, Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav (from the OG cast). Produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is all set to hit the theatres on May 20 and the trailer of this upcoming horror comedy has just been unveiled and it has us wanting more.

TBH, I didn’t think Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 could live up to the hype and the aura created by the OG movie and it looks like I was right. As excited as I am for this film, the trailer didn’t cause a stir as I’d expected. Now, I’m not saying that this film is not a good one but the trailer did not live up to the hype (probably because it doesn’t give away anything). Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 seems to have real ghosts unlike the OG film but it does look a tad bit interesting. Guess, we’ll just have to wait for the film to release to find out more. In the meanwhile, check out this trailer.

I must admit, we’re enjoying Kartik Aaryan’s dance moves and the chaos created by his character who seems like a con artist posing as a ghost hunter. Here’s to hoping the film does justice to the genre.
