For someone who loves watching films, well, good and both, it’s safe to say, 2026 has been quite a rollercoaster in Hindi Cinema. From big-budget to small-budget films, from action-revenge stories to romance and comedy, many films have been released so far. While some were impressed, others were not so much. But regardless, some performances made a lasting impression. The list definitely includes names like Ranveer Singh, Naseeruddin Shah and Triptii Dimri, among others.
Ranveer Singh (Dhurandhar: The Revenge)
Dhurandhar: The Revenge received mixed reactions, but Ranveer Singh continued to impress us with his exceptional performance as a spy. The raw and gritty tone of the film was amped up by Ranveer Kapoor’s Hamza. Action scenes or the emotional ones, the actor was convincing in each one of them.
Triptii Dimri (Maa Behen, O’Romeo)
Never had any doubt about the versatility of Triptii Dimri’s acting skills. The very recent film that Triptti Dimri featured in was Maa Behen, and the actor’s perfect portrayal of rage must have been showing up on your social media feeds. The actor was equally impressive in Shahid Kapoor’s starrer O’Romeo. She effortlessly pulls off the hard-hitting emotional scenes.
Naseeruddin Shah (Main Vaapas Aaunga)
Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga was an emotional rollercoaster ride, and Naseerudin Shah deserves most of the credit for that. The actor built a strong bond with the audience, and one does not have to struggle much to feel the emotions whenever he appears on the screen. The nuanced and perfectly balanced performance stays with you for a very long time.
Kriti Sanon (Cocktail 2)
The recent Homi Adajania film Cocktail 2 hit theatres in June. Kriti Sanon’s Ally won hearts and how. She played the unhinged, messy and free-spirited girl with much conviction and love. Kriti owned the character and her and Ally’s fashion also left everyone impressed!

Manoj Bajpayee (Governor)
Manoj Bajpayee always leave us in awe of his on-screen presence, and does it yet again in Governor. The actor played former RBI Governor S. Venkitaramanan in the film, and he approached this role with so much nuance, with the correct understanding of the character’s depth.
Adarsh Gaurav (Tu Yaa Main)
