Benedict Cumberbatch Dedicated Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star To Late Sister Tracy. Such A Heartwarming Gesture!

Just yesterday, I was watching Sherlock and I have to say, I fell in love with Benedict Cumberbatch all over again. I will say that he is one of Hollywood’s finest actors. And like every great actor, he also deserves the recognition that he gets. In fact, very recently Benedict Cumberbatch was honoured with the Hollywood Walk of Fame star. And the actor in his speech went on to dedicate it to his step-sister who died last year of cancer. Such a sweet gesture, isn’t it?

On Monday, February 28th, 2022, Benedict Cumberbatch, who is famously known for his portrayal of Doctor Strange, was honoured with the Hollywood Walk of Fame star in the presence of his wife Sophie Hunter. And in his acceptance speech, the actor went on to dedicate the star to his step-sister Tracy Peacock who died of cancer last year.

In his tribute to his late sister, Benedict Cumberbatch said, “I want to mention my sister who we lost last year. She would have loved this. She was unbelievably loyal, supportive, and she would have loved the glitz and the oddness and the glamour. She would have just been laughing nonstop all the way through and probably crying.”

As per reports, The Power of the Dog actor went on to express how much he misses her and hopes that she is looking down at him at this moment. Benedict Cumberbatch said, “You remain such a good and wonderful person to have had in our lives.”

Being a sister, I know that if there was a time that my brother was having such a special, big moment of his life and I wasn’t around, I would be extremely happy for him. Similarly, I’m sure the actor’s sister is also celebrating his success wherever she might be.
