Shortly After His Wife’s Firing, BharatPe Co-Founder Ashneer Grover Has Resigned And The Tweeple Are Asking, “Bhai Kya Kar Raha Hai Tu?”
Let’s be fair, Shark Tank India has given us the gift of absolutely gold memes. With hilarious reactions from the investors (sharks) in each episode, the show has been an absolute riot. However, the most memed upon shark is arguably Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe. Recently, not only Ashneer but even his wife, Madhuri Jain Grover was trending in the news, and for good reason, might I add. There were allegations made against Madhuri for using company funds for personal expenses and leisure along with faking invoices. She was sacked by the organization for ‘misappropriation of funds’.
Ashneer Grover, Shark Tank India investor and co-founder of BharatPe has also followed his wife out of the organization and has resigned as the co-founder and MD of the company. This has come after he lost an arbitration that he has filed with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, also known as SIAC. According to TOI, Ashneer wrote in his resignation letter, “I hereby resign as the Managing Director of BharatPe, effective immediately. I also resign as a Director of the Board. I will continue as the single largest individual shareholder of the Company.”
