Arjun Kapoor Feels Trolling His Relationship With Malaika Arora Based On Age Is A Silly Thought Process. We Agree!

One of the most common archaic notions that we are fed the most in our society is that in a romantic relationship (or even a sexual relationship, for that matter) the man has to be older in age. I mean, we all saw that stereotype blow out of proportion when Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas. Funnily enough, at that point in time, it was Priyanka Chopra Jonas that got trolled for it. Honestly, after that and Vicky Kaushal marrying Katrina Kaif, I thought that we as a society would, at least, get more accepting of it if not over it. But guess, I was wrong. After all, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora are still getting trolled for their age difference. Seriously? In fact, Arjun Kapoor even opened up about the trolling he faced and said that it was a silly thought process. Honestly, I agree!

Arjun Kapoor in a recent interview opened up about the criticism and trolling that was directed towards him and his girlfriend Malaika Arora because of their 12-year age difference. He believes that as long as people notice his work, he considers the rest of it as just noise. The two have been in a relationship for a few years now.

As per Masala.com, the 36-year-old actor feels that it is a ‘silly thought process’ to judge a relationship based on age. Arjun Kapoor said, “Firstly, I think that the media is the one who goes through the comments from people. We don’t even look at 90% of it so the trolling cannot be given so much importance, because it’s all fake. Those same people will be dying to take a selfie with me when they meet me, so you cannot believe that narrative.”

Speaking about his relationship with Malaika Arora, the Bhoot Police actor said that what he does in his personal life is completely his choice and no one has a say in it. Arjun Kapoor further added, “As long as my work is being recognised, the rest is all just a lot of noise. Plus, you can’t be so bothered about whose age is what, so we should just live, let live and move on. I think it’s a silly thought process to look at age and contextualise a relationship.”

Not going to lie, I agree with him. Trolling and criticising someone’s relationship based on the fact that the woman is older than the man, is absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. A relationship is a personal affair and no one needs to interfere or comment on that – especially not the media.
