Twitter Miffed At Anupamaa Makers, Say She Isn’t An Inspiration Anymore
Twitter is pissed!
I remember how happy and relieved the audience was when the makers of the show Anupamaa did not portray her like an abla naari. All the watchers of the show were proud of her character development as she came to be a strong woman who has her own voice after being a meek, timid female who cannot take a stand for herself. But it looks like the makers have fallen back on this old trope of portraying Anupamaa as helpless and well, the Internet is rightly not liking it.

A Twitter user pointed out that the makers of the show are misogynists who are torturing the titular character and also making her look bad. They also wrote the makers are making Anupamaa do things that will get her bashed by her former husband, Vanraj; her current husband, Anuj and the audience as well. Furthermore, they pointed out that they are degrading the female character to make the male ones in the show look good.
The writers for #Anupamaa are misogynists. Period. There's no other reason why they would torture the titular character and make her the bad guy on top of it. They will give vanraj the best father award from time to time and anuj gets the best lover award but BUT

Well, truth be spoken, this does seem to be so the case. Anupamaa is unable to detach herself from her old family’s drama. In fact, she is the first one to rush to their place with a fire extinguisher to douse the smallest fire when it is not her place to do so anymore. Like how right now, she is unable to focus on her foster daughter because she has her hands full taking care of her ex-sasural waale, all of whom have decided to stay at the Kapadia mansion when they have their own house.
This has infuriated the loyal audience of the show have agreed with the aforementioned Twitter thread and pointed out why Anupamaa is turning unlikable.

I completely agree with this thread. I really don't understand what the writers are trying to achieve by destroying their titular character. On top of it they say that it is a woman empowerment show and #Anupamaa the character is an inspiration. Inspiration in what sense? 🤦🏻

People are furious at the makers for serving such a stale storyline after raising their hopes so much through Anupamaa’s character. Because the audience is now used to the empowered Anu and cannot stand not this spinless one. Additionally, the makers are trying the men in the show look like they are the ones making sacrifices by making Anupamaa make poor decisions. The makers of the show will have to make her rise from all this BS in the story ahead!
