Anupama Parameswaran Opens Up About Facing ‘Narcissistic Abuse’ Amid Breakup Speculation With Dhruv Vikram

In recent events, actor Anupama Parameswaran has been making headlines ever since she shared a post about letting go of the “dead ends” to find peace, while hinting that she had parted ways with her alleged boyfriend, Dhruv Vikram. This sparked a frenzy among fans who wanted to know what transpired between the two. Amid this, she finally opened up about her post and revealed that she has broken up after facing “narcissistic abuse” for two years. Read to know more about what she said here.

What Anupama Parameswaran Said

During a chat with I Am with Dhanya Varma, Anupama Parameswaran opened up about what led to her sharing the post that revealed the pain she went through for two years. She said that she observed the public reaction was divided: some celebrated her healing process, while others just offered negative criticism. The actor further clarified that this was not a sudden decision but a culmination of two years, which included multiple physical and emotional turmoils. So rather than sharing something superficial, she waited until she felt ready and partially recovered to tell the world. Ultimately, she saw the post as a reflection of her personal journey, in which she found out important insights about herself and life, and allowed her time to heal and speak about this experience.

Anupama, without naming anyone, spoke about her toxic relationship and how people around her said that she had changed. She recalled watching a video where Madonna Sebastian discussed how narcissistic abuse triggered physical reactions and how she had begun to shiver. This realisation led to her outlining four perspectives on the issue: the survivors and the people around them who understand the pain firsthand, people who know about it but have little understanding of it, critics who dismiss all of this as a gender debate, and victims currently going through the same abuse without realising what was happening to them. And the final group she said was the most vulnerable.
