‘Anupama’ Is Getting An 11 Episode Prequel On Disney+ Hotstar. Whoa, Do We Get To See Anuj Too?
I am a die-hard Anupama fan. It’s my guilty pleasure and I can’t help but wake up every morning to catch the latest episode of the show on Disney+ Hotstar. TBH, I watch it more for Anupama and Anuj #MaAn. Having said that, I have some amazing news for all the Anupama fans (I’m already jumping with joy, just CANNOT keep calm!). This revolutionary show is all set to gift us an 11-episode prequel that will exclusively air on the OTT platform and will not be aired on television. Guess, it’s time for everyone to invest in Disney+ Hotstar membership ‘coz missing this prequel is just not an option!
This show that celebrates the spirit of womanhood will be joining the digital space with the 11-episode prequel which will see Rupali Ganguly reprising the role of Anupama. Sudhanshu Pandey, who plays the role of Anupama’s husband (now ex-husband) Vanraj, will also reprise his role for the digital space along with the rest of the cast from the daily soap. The 11 episodes of the series will be released exclusively on the OTT platform over the span of 11 days. And here’s the best thing, this prequel will delve deeper into Anupama’s life a few years into her marriage. TBH, I just want to know if Anuj will make an appearance in this prequel or not ‘coz we just live for the #MaAn romance at this point.

For the unversed, Anupama launched in July 2020 on television and has over 500 episodes that are available on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. This show is the Hindi adaptation of the popular Bengali series Sreemoyee. Anupama revolves around the life of a housemaker who dedicates her life to her family and her husband but rarely receives the respect she deserves. It goes on to show her struggle for independence and create her own identity following her divorce from her husband.
