Ankush Bahuguna In London
On Sunday, May 17, Ankush Bahuguna took to his Instagram and shared a sickening video of men in London making fun of him for wearing a pink suit. He was seen recording himself while walking, and behind him, we could hear serious homophobic slurs like “Welcome to the parade,” while hooting and ganging up on him. The creator was seen visibly uncomfortable as he pointed out that this was the cost of minding his own business while wearing a harmless pink outfit on the streets. He said that London did not turn out to be as open-minded as one might have thought.

Contrary to such sick men, Bahuguna revealed that women around him complimented him on the same outfit, that men and even children called “absurd sh**.” He admitted to feeling intimidated by the number of people and chose to protect his safety in a foreign country over replying with good comebacks he thought of later. This video shocked his fans, who quickly came to the comment section to trash the men making fun of him and support him.

Amid this, Kusha Kapila also chimed in and said that all of this came from a place of envy, and that such men have never been given the “freedom” to wear clothes they want. She went on to warn about London’s lack of safety, stating that it has a lot of “eve-teasing.” Others like Swara Bhaskar also called out this behaviour. We hope that one day we all create a peaceful environment that doesn’t make one rethink their preferences and walk freely without thinking of being “harassed” or “teased” on the street.
