Popular actor Amruta Khanvilkar has made headlines after she issued a legal notice over several separation rumours about her husband, Himanshu Malhotra, circulating on the internet. The issue has explicitly asked social media and digital platforms to refrain from making claims about the couple’s separation and has warned of severe consequences. Did Amruta Khanvilkar Issue A Legal Notice?

As per the recent reports, actor Amruta Khanvilkar has taken a strong legal stance against separation rumours doing rounds on the internet. The legal notice issued by the actor’s lawyers addresses the concerning claims regarding the couple’s marriage. It also warns the platforms of harsh consequences if they continue indulging in such rumours, which they call a clear invasion of privacy. The notice mentioned that these reports claimed that Amruta Khanvilkar and Himanshu Malhotra have been living separately for the last 18 months. The report was issued on August 10, and it sternly called such reports baseless and defamatory, also terming them an invasion of privacy.

The legal notice further added that such reports on the actor were misleading and concerning, and also warned of serious legal actions against entities, organisations or any individual who indulges in creating and publishing such content. The note further read that such instances were being ‘monitored and documented’ for the appropriate legal action.

Some reports of the couple living separately recently surfaced. However, neither party ever addressed these rumours. Following these reports, the legal notice has now been issued by the actor’s team. For the unversed, Amruta Khanvilkar and Himanshu Malhotra tied the knot in 2015.
