Amidst recent rumours swirling on social media, actor Nivetha Pethuraj, recognized for her roles in notable films such as Tik Tik Tik and Sangathamizhan, has come forward to clarify misconceptions regarding her financial status and personal life, where some claim that she was gifted a house by Junior Stalin. Speculations arose following unverified claims linking Ms. Pethuraj to significant financial expenditures and her alleged involvement in the Formula 4 Night Street race in Chennai. A YouTube video by Savukku Shankar further fueled the rumours, asserting that Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin had purchased a home for the actor in Dubai.

In response to the baseless allegations, Ms. Pethuraj issued a statement on social media, expressing her distress over the unfounded rumours and the toll they have taken on her and her family. She emphasized her family’s integrity and her own financial independence since a young age, firmly denying any association with extravagant spending or seeking undue favors in her career. Setting the record straight, Ms. Pethuraj clarified that her family has resided in a rented house in Dubai for over two decades and refuted claims of being the reason behind the Chennai race. She underscored her passion for car racing since 2013, asserting her lack of involvement in the races conducted in Chennai and dispelling notions of her significance in the matter.
