And in all of this, the one good thing that is happening is that people are getting ideas on what they could name their kids. The latest on the block is Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s baby girl, Raha Kapoor. Yep, this unique and unusual name was kept by her Dadi dearest, Neetu Kapoor. Needless to say, no sooner did Alia Bhatt announce the name of their daughter, than the entire Bollywood industry was present in the comment section to shower love on the newest member of the Kapoor clan.
On November 24, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram and announced the name of their daughter – Raha Kapoor. Along with that, she shared a picture where the focus was on the Barcelona jersey with ‘Raha’ written on it and Ranbir Kapoor, the baby, and Alia are all out of focus.

Announcing their baby girl’s name, Alia Bhatt wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path; in Swahili she is Joy, in Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”
