‘Brahmastra’ And ‘Phone Bhoot’ Using Ranbir-Alia And Vicky-Katrina’s Husband-Wife Shenanigans For Promotions Is A Hilarious Masterstroke
I began my Bookstagram journey exactly a year ago, and the moment I did, I made my fiance promise me that he will promote each of my posts on his social media, too! Even though he has not been religiously doing so, I can totally relate when one of my friends tells me that they have been pestering their partner to promote their own brand or any other endeavour. And guess what? It is not just us un-celebrity peeps who have been using their partners to promote their professional ventures! It is also Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif! How do you ask? Well, both these ladies are promoting their films, Brahmastra and Phone Bhoot respectively, by incorporating their husbands into their promotional reels!
Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram to share a video of a visibly frustrated Ranbir Kapoor talking to someone on the phone about their film Brahmastra’s OTT release. Ranbir was heard saying about the film is going to release on Disney Plus Hotstar on November 4, 2022, and this means that he and Alia will have to get on promotional duties. Again. But when he gets Ayan Mukerji’s call and he is heard agreeing with him on the promotions! Quite funny, it was!

On the other hand, Katrina Kaif also shared a reel on Instagram wherein she is seen waking up her husband Vicky Kaushal with a very spooky-sounding alarm, in an attempt to promote her film Phone Bhoot! The audio is in Katrina’s voice which says, “Main ek bhoot hu!” A very sleepy Vicky is seen getting baffled by Katrina’s antics to wake him up who then completely covers his face with his blanket and tries to go back to sleep!

Seeing both Alia and Katrina incorporate their husbands into promoting their respective films is quite refreshing! It gives us a break from seeing their vahi purane and monotonous videos and posts announcing their films’ release. Also, such unique content increases the hype around their films, and it makes people remember the release date of their projects as well!
