THIS Is Alia Bhatt’s Favourite Celebrity Look In The History Of Cannes. It Has A Bollywood Connection!

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has been winning many hearts with her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. The actor has been serving looks after looks this year, styled by Rhea Kapoor, and we are obsessed. From a dreamy gown by Yash Patil to a Tarun Tahiliani saree, the actor’s range is inspiring. Amid this, she also credited Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s previous Cannes saree, which is still praised. Read to know more about it here.

Alia Bhatt About Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes looks always become the talking point of the internet. And during a recent chat with Vogue from the French Riviera, the actor was asked about a Cannes Film Festival look that has stayed with her over the years. Without hesitation, she picked Aishwarya Rai’s iconic saree she wore in 2002 for the premiere of Devdas with Shah Rukh Khan. She called her saree and face “beautiful and iconic.” Interestingly, both Alia and Aishwarya are ambassadors for L’Oreal Paris from India.

For the unversed, Bachchan attended the screening of her film Devdas in 2002 at the festival, which was a huge moment for Indian cinema. She arrived there with Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and the trio’s pictures became one of the biggest talked-about events to date from that year. One picture that still lives in all our heads rent-free was of Aishwarya and Shah Rukh Khan stepping down from a horse-drawn carriage.

The actor wore a bright yellow saree by famous Indian designer Neeta Lulla featuring golden embroidery and a royal feel. She paired this with layered kundan jewellery, a choker, and some matching earrings and bangles. Her makeup was soft with a small bindi and open hair.
