Ali Zafar Defends Katrina Kaif

Ali Zafar stated that he had come across a video comparing how Katrina Kaif looked before and after. He said that he had been speaking up about trolling for years, where his Pakistani colleagues Mahira Khan and others became the target of the same. The actor urged everyone to accept that no one is perfect and that such privilege comes with being a man. Ali called out the way a woman is perceived when she doesn’t fit in the “beauty standards” set by them and also called out the people putting women down for the same.

He further said that each person goes through their own struggles and that we must not add to the same. He said that perceptions of women’s bodies have shifted significantly since the Renaissance. He noted that modern standards, demanding a “zero figure” for women and “six-pack abs” for men, are unrealistic and unhealthy. Furthermore, he emphasised that constantly criticising others is harmful, reminding us that as fellow human beings, everyone has the potential to treat one another with kindness.
