Not a fan of sequels, especially classic films. And 3 Idiots is on the list. But a sequel to Aamir Khan has been recently announced by the leading man himself. The actor has announced that the sequel is currently in work and also shared some tea about the character that he would like to play in the film. Well, but no points for guessing! But the point is, are we ready for a sequel to a film that is still very much relevant? Read on.
3 Idiots 2 Announcement
Aamir Khan recently made headlines after he sang a song from his son, Junaid Khan’s upcoming film Ek Din with Sai Pallavi. But he has now revealed plans for his next project, and it’s a sequel to one of his favourite films, 3 Idiots. The actor recently spoke about the details of his next project in a conversation with Amar Ujala. As per the reports, Aamir Khan has confirmed 3 Idiots 2 and also revealed that he heard the narration. The actor loved the script, although he added that there was some more work to do. Spilling more details about the project, Aamir Khan said that the story has the same humour and an unusual story, but it’s set 10 years later. He then praised the writers Abhijat and Raju for penning the beautiful story and expressed his excitement about the project.
Going by the reports, it is expected that the original case with R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor would reunite for this project.

We are looking forward to the film and all that it has in store for us, but at the same time, we are a little unsure about a sequel. Do we need it? 3 Idiots had created a charm on the big screen, with its relevant story, relatable characters and a wholesome narrative about friendship that it is still discussed among friends. It’s nothing less than a cult in today’s time. We are hoping that this sequel will hopefully break the sequel curse! Otherwise, it will be another example of why classics should remain untouched!
