Aaliyah Kashyap Talks About Her Disastrous First Period Story And We Couldn’t Relate More!
While the discussion around periods can be very sensitive, most of the period stories I have heard from people with uteruses are pretty funny. Well, there is some joy in seeing others get embarrassed, right? Or am I just an insensitive sadist? Anyway, what I am getting at is, that getting your period for the first time can be a very confusing time for people which can result in disasters we can all look back and chuckle over. Aaliyah Kashyap has spoken about her own first period story and her cluelessness is a reflection of all of us.

In her recent YouTube video, Aaliyah Kashyap has spoken about the time she got her first period. She recalled that she was the last person in her friend group to get her periods and added that she actually loved not having her periods saying she loved her “pre-period life”. Aaliyah said that she would swim dates with her friends and one of them would always be on their periods and she loved not having to worry about that. However, that changed one school morning.

Aaliyah said that she got her periods when she was around 13 and a half years old and woke up on a school morning and checked her underwear to see that it was stained. And as the colour looked brownish, she thought she had pooped herself! Despite being embarrassed, she asked her mother about it who confirmed that she hadn’t pooped herself but gotten her periods. Aaliyah was extremely upset over getting her periods and started “bawling”. Like any other Indian mummy, her mother did not allow her to stay home and forced her to go to school. Aaliyah said that she also stained her skirt that day as she didn’t know how to wear a pad properly. She ended her story saying, “it was not a good day.”
