Hautesteppers 3.0: Mumbai Police Social Media Head Sunchika Pandey On The Biggest Regret Of Her Life

In the latest episode of Hauterrfly’s Hautesteppers 3.0, we finally get to meet the face and brain behind the Mumbai police’s social media handle. Using witty humour as a tool to create awareness, the Mumbai police’s social media handle has literally everyone obsessed. But how many of you actually knew the real person behind all the posts? Well, it is none other than Sunchika Pandey. This new episode takes us closer to the life of Sunchika, who runs the popular social handle of the Mumbai police.

In a candid conversation with Hauterrfly, she reveals when, where and how did she convince the Mumbai police to finally have a social media presence, the pros of having a government body being active on the internet and using smart humour while doing so. And while the episode gave us plenty of insights about her, what also caught our attention was Sunchika’s little confession.

While Sunchika closely works with the police force and is pretty much like them in a no-vacation mode, her biggest regret is not being a police officer. Expressing her love for the job and dedication, Pandey mentions–”If I had a chance, or if could appear for an exam now, and become a police officer, I would become a police offer. It is so wonderful and I see women doing so many amazing things, pilots, in the army.”

She also mentioned how one cop once tried to console her by saying that how much police officers listen to her, they don’t even to the people internally in the force. Reminiscing her childhood days, Pandey says if she knew one could become an IPS officer without choosing mathematics as a subject, she would’ve definitely tried. But somewhere through her collaborations with the police force, she’s trying to live that dream and contributing as much as possible.

She further appreciated her young set of team members, who often help her stay relevant and updated on the trends around her. Well, this womaniya is definitely a firecracker. Check out the full episode here:
