Kiran Rao’s Advice For Woman
During a coversation with Hauterrfly, Laapataa Ladies director Kiran Rao spoke about how she maintained a cordial relation with her ex-husband Aamir Khan after their divorce. Kiran Rao said, “It’s hard to put yourself in other people’s shoes, and lots of people have many hurtful divorces. But one thing that one should keep in mind that we often judge ourselves very harshly when we are going through a divorce. In turn, all these judgements make you feel worse about yourself and at the same you blaming the other person entirely for the failure of a relationship. Perhaps, here, a better thing to do is to be a little kinder to yourself and automatically you will be kinder to the other person too. You should also forgive yourself and once you do that, you feel a less angry with yourself and utilimatly the other person too. In order to value the fact the you have given a lot to the relationship, you should begin by forgiving yoursefl for the failure of marriage, and start from a place of love.”
