World Food Day: 4 Fictional Men Whose Culinary Skills Are Known Far And Wide In Bookstagram!

Food has been a huge part of our culture and reading books has made me realise that food is an important part of the fictional world as well. But contrary to the real world where women only shoulder the responsibility of cooking, in the fictional world, there is a special mention of men who are culinary enthusiasts. And uff, how we women swoon over these men, who, might I add, do not even exist. On mere imagination that these men are great cooks and great in bed as well, they have become our favourites!

And how would you not like a man who cooks for you? Imagine coming home from a long day at work and you see your man has cooked a nice meal and laid it out on the dinner table. How great would it feel! And these men are exactly the kind who will do that for their women! So, if are interested in reading about men who cook for their women, here are some of my favourites!

Atlas Corrigan – It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

Ask anyone on Bookstagram if they know Atlas Corrigan, and I can bet my entire month’s salary, all the ladies will scream YES! This sweet, gentle, absolutely adorable and immensely patient man has captured our hearts and we don’t even want it back! Apart from his good nature, what Atlas is known for is his exceptional culinary skills. He owns a restaurant as well!

Alex Volkov – Twisted Love by Ana Huang

Alex Volkov is a big brooding man with a permanent scowl on his face. But on the other hand, he is also the man who will bake red velvet cookies for his lady love, Ava Chen! He bakes cupcakes for her and only her, and with this, he set the standard for us women high up in the sky on what an ideal man should be like! He’s a little toxic, but hey, at least he can bake cupcakes to make up for that toxicity so, it’s all good!

Brendan Taggart – It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey

I did not know a strong, broody, determined and handsome fisherman was my type until I read It Happened One Summer! And boy, oh boy! Brendan Taggart is a sight to behold! I know I haven’t seen him because he is a fictional character but the image that Tessa Bailey has created in my mind is so vivid that I don’t believe that this man does not exist. Plus, he cooks great food! Be it bolognese or fish, Brendan can cook it all!

John Tucker – The Goal by Elle Kennedy

The fourth book in Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series, The Goal, is one of the widely loved books! The main male character in the book, John Tucker, is known for his charm and level-headedness. He is the one who cooks for his entire dorm, and his friends love him for it! Like a mama hen, he takes care of all these mates and makes sure that they do not go hungry! Aww! How sweet!
