Meet Shyja, Indian Woman Who Is Breaking Beauty Standards By Flaunting Her Moustache

An Indian woman named Shyja who loves to flaunt her moustache has received appreciation from people for flaunting her facial hairs. The 35-year-old woman shared a picture of herself embracing her facial hair on social media and declared that she loves her moustache. “All I can say is that I just like it. A lot,” she said. She reportedly lives in the Kannur district in the southern state of Kerala. Like any other woman, Shyja also had wisps of facial hair above her lip for years. She regularly gets her eyebrows threaded, but mentioned that she never felt the need to remove the hair above her upper lip. She mentioned that she can’t imagine living without it now.

Shyja added that she disliked wearing face masks during the pandemic as it used to cover her face and moustache.
She has gone through six surgeries over a decade and after overcoming multiple health crises, she realised that she should live her life in a way that makes her happy.
