And all it takes is one small tweet that has the potential to be memed or turned into a new joke format, and there’s an avalanche! The latest Twitter trend that’s got everyone ROFL is about how, behind every gay person in movies, tv shows, and entertaining documentaries, there is always a more evil and gayer character just waiting in the shadows.

Users on Twitter started responding to this tweet with their own ideas of characters who perfectly embody the statement! So you’ll see characters like Eve and Villanelle from Killing Eve, and even Kurt Hummel and Sebastian Smyth from Glee. But what’s even more hilarious is that the jokes are now expanding to people talking about the queer ships from their fanfiction! This includes some seriously iconic characters who aren’t canonically gay but like Sherlock and Moriarty from the series Sherlock, they kinda sorta have been queer-shipped together by fans!
