Why Are Men So Obsessed With Women’s Body Hair? No Shave November Sirf Unke Liye Hai Kya?

When it comes to women, men have set such standards that only imaginary women fulfill. I mean, if you ask them, they have a problem with everything – skin colour, height, weight, etc. But out of this all, it is the body hair that they just can’t stand – especially armpit hair. Don’t believe me? Well, team Hauterrfly took to the streets to ask men what their thoughts were on seeing a picture of a woman with armpit hair, and the replies are proof enough of how ignorant men are when it comes to women’s bodies.
Team Hauterrfly took to the streets and showed images of women with body hair to men and the replies they gave were not shocking but rather enlightening about how judgemental they are when it comes to women’s body hair.

And honestly, their replies are so hilariously iconic since men are the species that “bear-ly” ever wax even when it is unhygienic. In the video, after seeing the picture of a woman’s body hair, all the men agreed that it was time that she waxed. One of the men also said “ke ab nahi ho payega” (now it can’t work). And the other said that he doesn’t judge women by their looks but body hair is not okay – pick a side bro.
While these men continue to judge women for their body hair, there are public figures like Tillotama Shome, Kalki Koechlin, Miley Cyrus, and Komal Pandey who openly and very naturally promote body hair and try to normalise it.

For instance, Tillotama Shome posted a picture of herself flaunting her armpit hair and in the caption clarifies it saying that in no way is she making a statement but rather just being the girl next door who sometimes waxes her body hair and sometimes doesn’t. Even Komal Pandey very subtly showed off her in a Diwali outfit reel and did it so well.

Dear men, please accept the fact that women also have hair on their bodies and it is okay if they do not want to wax. No shave November is not just for men but also for women. So learn to respect that.
