Tom Holland Says Zendaya Supported Him When He Was Nervous To Meet Tobey Maguire And Andrew Garfield For ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ Couple Goals!

Meeting your seniors and people you look up to on a professional front could be nerve-wracking and stressful. I know I would be nervous and my anxiety would be at an all time high. However, this is a major milestone in anyone’s career and wanting for it to go well is only natural. At times like this, having a solid support system that will help with your nerves and calm you down is essential. While having a partner isn’t necessary, it is amazing to have one who is also your best friend and closest confidant. Tom Holland was lucky to have Zendaya when he was nervous to meet Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for the shoot of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In a recent interview which included all 3 of our Spider-Men: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland, Tom opened up about daunting it was to meet Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield who played the titular character in the Spider-Man movies before him. He said to Tobey that meeting them was daunting as they were a long way into shooting. “We were maybe three months into principal photography,” he recalled, “The date of ‘the other Spider-Mans are coming’ was etched on my calendar and was getting closer and closer and closer, and the closer got, the more and more nervous I was.”

Tom Holland eventually calmed down and realised that he had nothing to ner that nervous about. Good on him, I have way too much anxiety for that! He asked his on and off-screen partner Zendaya and co-star Jacob Batalon to accompany him for the meeting and be his support system when he goes to meet Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Awww adorable!

While these events are nerve-wracking, I believe that they are important in understanding yourself and growing in your career. Being able to work with people with experience can help you learn and grow in your field of choice. Tom Holland was able to do the same by working with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. His nervousness was valid but he is lucky to have a solid support system like  Zendaya and Jacob Batalon.
