“Fun” fact: women also have hair on their armpit, stomach, breasts, back, etc. in short the same places that men have hair on. Why did I find the need to put it up as a fact? Well, because mainstream beauty standards have deemed body hair to be absolutely and completely unacceptable on a woman. For some reason, it is okay for men to go around flaunting their chest or armpit hair, but if a woman does the same, well then she needs to be groomed since that is unladylike. Breaking this very stereotype is Tillotama Shome who posted an unapologetic picture of her showing off her armpit hair.
Yep, Tillotama Shome on January 19th, 2022 posted a picture of herself on Instagram where her armpit hair was quite visible. In her caption, she clarifies that showing off her armpit hair is not a statement. Just like every other woman, she waxes it and doesn’t wax it as well.

Seeing her post, there is even one more stereotype that I believe that she broke – and that is that all actresses are supposed to be groomed and waxed/shaved at all times.
