It would also be a delight to see Taylor as a part of it, but well! The Twilight Saga: New Moon came in the year 2009 and was the second film of the series. It starred Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner and was directed by Chris Weitz. Now, years later we have got some insiders on the film and the one that’s making headlines is the fact that popular singer Taylor Swift wanted to be a part of it. However, her wish was denied and in a recent interview, director Chris Weitz revealed why.

In a recent interview with The Independent, while talking about the movie Twilight: New Moon, Chris Weitz revealed that Taylor Swift is a big fan of the series and really wished to be a part of it. The filmmaker also said that Taylor was ready to do a cameo even, as in just appearing for brief seconds as “someone in the cafeteria or diner”. The director also referred to her as a “Twi-hard”, a term that is used by the fans who love Twilight. However, Chris Weitz then put forth his reasons for turning down her request to be in the movie. In the interview, he said that Taylor Swift is such a huge star, that her popularity might have overshadowed the storyline and taken away the audience’s attention from the movie even with the smallest appearance. Chris Weitz also stated that he was sad enough to deny Taylor’s wish to act in the movie, as he missed the chance of “hanging out with her”. Chris Weitz then added that he took this decision for the film.
