Bollywood is home to some of the best actors, but still, there are only a few actors who shined till the end and Sushant Singh Rajput is definitely one of them. He made his acting debut in the television serial Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and came into the limelight after he featured in Pavitra Rishta. Sushant Singh Rajput was also one of those few television actors who effortlessly made his Bollywood debut with the film Kai Po Che! Sadly, we lost him in 2020 but he left a mark on Indian cinema with his exceptional performance in various films.

1. KAI PO CHE!

Kai Po Che! marks Sushant Singh Rajput’s debut in Bollywood. It is a political action sports drama film. He played the role of Ishaan Bhatt who is a victim of politics in the cricket selection fraternity. His acting is so flawless that it emotionally engages the audience from the start to the ending.

2. MS DHONI: THE UNTOLD STORY 

Many people remember Sushant Singh Rajput from the 2016 film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. He portrays the role of ace cricketer MS Dhoni. The film follows the journey of the sportsman from a ticket collector to a legendary cricketer of the Indian Cricket team. Sushant essayed the role with so much passion and even nailed Dhoni’s ‘Helicopter’ shot. In fact, the cricketer himself was impressed with his cricket skills.

3. PK 

In the film PK, Sushant Singh Rajput played a very small role but didn’t miss the chance to impress the audience with his soul-touching portrayal of Pakistani guy Sarfaraz who falls in love with an Indian girl Jaggu (Anushka Sharma). Even after a misunderstanding between the lovers, he never forgets about his true love and keeps on trying to reach her. His portrayal of a charming yet serious lover stole all of our hearts.

4. CHHICHHORE

Chhichhore is a comedy-drama film where Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of Anirudh Pathak. He loves his family and friends with all his heart and teaches us that it’s okay to fail at things, the important thing is trying. His portrayal as a young adult who enjoys his life to the fullest and a caring father who can do everything for his child impressed the audience.

5. DIL BECHARA

Dil Bechara is the last film of the late actor and was released after his death. The story revolves around two individuals – Kizie (Sanjana Sanghi) and Manny (SSR) dealing with an illness. The actor touched everyone’s heart as he happily danced and sang for his love and said goodbye to the world with a smile plastered on his face. 

Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise was a huge loss for Indian cinema but now it’s our turn to keep him alive in our memories forever through his outstanding filmography.
