Sonam Kapoor Shares Why She Doesn’t Keep Karwa Chauth Fast For Hubby Anand Ahuja. The Reason Is Rather Amusing!
Karwa Chauth is an important festival in many Indian households. While my family never celebrated it, I’ve been to some of the celebrations at my friends’ place and the festivities of it all are fun to witness. And the enthusiasm in Bollywood is no different. From Shilpa Shetty to Raveena Tandon, many actresses shared their Karwa Chauth celebrations on Instagram yesterday, and just when we thought that the festivities were done, Sonam Kapoor shared some glimpses of her Karwa Chauth celebrations and her outfit is giving us all ‘Gulaabi’ vibes.
Sonam Kapoor has maintained a low profile and has been preoccupied with her motherly responsibilities since embracing parenthood. But lately, on the occasion of Karwa Chauth, the actress dressed to the nines in a pink and green sari by designer Gaurang Shah and ruled social media with her breathtaking photographs. Sonam also explained why she doesn’t observe a fast on Karwa Chauth for her husband Anand Ahuja.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Sonam wrote that she doesn’t fast for her husband on Karwa Chauth as “he thinks fasting should only be intermittent “. She added that both she and Anand believe that festivals are a great medium for families to come together. She said that she loves that her mother, Sunita Kapoor fasts and celebrates Karwa Chauth. Sonam further praised her mom saying, “Your energy and generosity are legendary and I hope to follow the same path!” and wished her followers a happy Karwa Chauth. Husband Anand along with parents Sunita and Anil Kapoor also responded to her post in the cutest way possible!

Along with the green and pink saree, Sonam opted for statement earrings and necklace set from her mom along with bangles from Amrapali Jewels. Sonam Kapoor’s last big announcement was when she revealed the name of her newborn son: Vayu Kapoor.
