Ram Gopal Varma Supports Ranveer Singh’s Nude Photoshoot, Says ‘It Is An Example Of Gender Equality’
Last week, Ranveer Singh broke the internet with his photoshoot for Paper Magazine for which he posed nude for the camera. The pictures from the shoot went viral on the internet in no time which left people shocked and having polarising opinions on the same. Many went ahead to laud Ranveer for being it all while many others went ahead to troll him as well. It is surprising that people still haven’t gotten over the whole thing. Amid all the support and love that has been pouring in for Singh, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has also extended his support to him and went on to say that this photoshoot is a great case of gender equality.

Talking to Etimes, the 60-year-old director said that this is his way of establishing gender equality. He further went on to question that if women can show off their ‘sexy’ bodies’ why are men being judged for doing the same. Gopal also added that it is hypocritical that people are judging men by a ‘different standard’. Ram Gopal Varma has stood by the Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor and said that his photoshoot is a statement on gender equality.

Ranveer’s photoshoot was a tribute to the American actor Burt Reynolds. Striking poses on the Persian rugs wearing nothing, he left no stone unturned to make his photoshoot a glorious display of his masculinity. And this is exactly what has not sat well with people.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in the Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. This romantic drama film stars Alia Bhatt as the female lead. The film is produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.
