‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 1’ Teaser: Mani Ratnam’s Epic Looks Incredible But Can We Talk About Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Radiant Glow?
One of the most celebrated directors in the Indian film industry is hands down Mani Ratnam. His contribution to the film industry is beyond the iconic movies he has delivered time and again – and this is something that almost every actor will agree to. And so, when he announced that he was coming back with yet another masterpiece, I was beyond escalated. Ponniyin Selvan: 1, also known as PS-I, is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language period action drama film that is not only directed by Mani Ratnam but also co-produced by him. PS-I features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and more as leads. So, far we were teased by the makers with stunning posters from the film, but now they just dropped the teaser and oh boy, does it look surreal.
The makers of the much-awaited and one of the biggest multilingual projects of the year – Ponniyin Selvan: 1 or PS-I just dropped its teaser and it looks like a hell-a good mix between Bahubali and Game of Thrones. But the one that stole the show was none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The PS-I teaser tells a tale of the power struggle that took place during the Chola empire during the 10th century. The movie starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram, and Karthi is the first part of the two-series movie.
The historical drama features some of the most talented, versatile actors in powerful roles like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini, Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, and Karthi as Vanthiyathevan, Trisha as Kundavai, and Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman.

Having watched the PS-I teaser, I will say that the visuals are absolutely stunning, the music is impeccable, but above all, it is the beauty and radiance of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini that overpowers it all.
The movie helmed by Mani Ratnam is set to have a worldwide release on September 30, 2022, in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
