Pinocchio Teaser: Guillermo Del Toro’s Stop-Motion Take On This Tale Of Love And Loss Looks Whimsical!
Pinocchio is a childhood memory for many of us. In fact, I remember having a wooden Pinocchio and the memory of it suddenly crossed my mind when I was watching the teaser of its new animated film. The quirky, mischievous character who has his own journey filled with adventures is a classic we are well aware of. The teaser for the movie dropped on July 27, Wednesday and now I cannot wait for it to release soon.
The director of the movie is the famous Academy Award Winner, Guillermo Del Toro who has also created the masterpiece, The Shape of Water. From the teaser, the duration of which is 1 minute 40 seconds, we get a lot of what all we can expect from the movie. It starts with an ant, not the usual one BTW, and we know that the story of Pinochhio will be narrated through him. The ant opens a diary and goes on to write a story that we the viewers haven’t heard before. It is a story of a wooden boy and his journey of love and adventure. From the teaser, we get a glimpse of the story which will be about a father who has unfortunately lost his son, and in his memory, the old man creates a masterpiece from wood, and that is our dear Pinocchio. From then on, the wooden boy’s journey of companionship starts. In the teaser, we also see some glimpses of the kind of adventures Pinocchio wil encounter. We can look forward to a wholesome story about love and life. Gregory Mann has given his voice for Pinochhio and the voice cast includes Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Waltz, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, and Burn Gorman as well
The graphics of the film already looks amazing from the teaser. The background score in the teaser is a dramatic one. The film will release in selected theatres this year in December and will also premiere on Netflix.
